As colleagues and the wider community near our head office prepare for Leeds Pride this weekend, we’re reflecting on #PrideatGatenbySanderson.
Specifically, shining a light on the role of leaders within GS to promote inclusivity and support of the LGBTQ+ community as well as how they enhance allyship within the business and with our candidates and clients.
Five of our leaders share their thoughts below on inclusive leadership. They give practical advice, share learnings from their own development and how they continue to explore ways to better their allyship and how they promote that across GS.
Their insights could help shape your own leadership style and practice… listen below.
Question 1: What do you think the role of a leader is, in promoting inclusivity and support of the LGBTQ+ community?
Question 2: How do you enhance allyship at GatenbySanderson?
Pride has given focus to exploring and discussing recent challenges facing the community and celebrate the value of our LGBTQ+ colleagues, candidates and clients. We’ve enjoyed the insightful and rich conversations we’ve had throughout Pride 2023.
You can continue raising your own awareness by reading and watching some of those conversations, from celebrating the launch of our LGBTQ+ affinity group, to interviews with leaders across sectors like Robbie Turner and Lee Marshall, as well as with Katherine and David, two of our affinity group co-chairs.
