Duncan has enjoyed a career exclusively in recruitment, predominantly, but not exclusively, working in the specialist recruitment sector of the Built Environment, supporting clients and individuals mainly in permanent managerial and C-suite appointments and directing regional businesses for both multi-national and smaller boutique recruitment consultancies.

Duncan specialises in the Community Protection, Local Government and Housing sectors at Gatenby Sanderson, sourcing the best potential candidates for roles  and supporting interested individuals through the bespoke recruitment processes, including but not limited to assisting in a range of roles, including Chief Executive, Police, Fire & Rescue and affiliated Community Protection bodies in Operational  (e.g. Chief Fire Officer) and Support Executive Leadership roles, Property and Asset Management, Financial, Infrastructure and Social Care roles.
