Thank you for your interest in joining Stonewater as our new Chief Investment Officer. This is a pivotal and exciting opportunity to play a central role at the heart of one of the UK’s leading social housing organisations, at a time of ambition, growth and transformation.

Stonewater is proud of its clear social purpose: giving everyone the opportunity to have a place they can call home. We own and manage around 40,000 homes, supporting more than 93,000 customers across diverse communities. We are values-driven, financially strong, and forward‑thinking, with a long-term A+ credit rating and a G1/V2 governance and viability rating. Strong governance, effective assurance and principled decision‑making are fundamental to our success and this role is critical in safeguarding and strengthening those foundations.

As we deliver our Strategic Plan to 2030, we are undertaking significant and complex work to deliver our three core objectives:

  • Customer-centred services – providing customer-centred services that are proactive and efficient, and that help us to retain and attract customers.
  • Quality homes and neighbourhoods - we will supply, manage, and maintain homes and neighbourhoods that are safe, connected, efficient, affordable, and flexible.
  • Maximising value - we will maximise the value we provide to our customers and communities through decision making and initiatives that support environmental and social sustainability.

We are now seeking to appoint a Chief Investment Officer to our Chief Officer Group. This is a strategic and operational leadership role, working in close and continuous collaboration with the CEO and other Operating Officers to design and deliver the strategy and delivery of property development through a high performance, values driven culture; proactively identifying and assessing new opportunities for organic and inorganic growth/merger; and leading bids for Homes England funding and managing delivery against funding programmes.

You will lead the Safety, Growth & Investment Directorate to deliver the Health & Safety, Organic, Inorganic Growth, Asset Investment Strategies, whilst streamlining operations, driving efficiency, and navigating the complexities of organisational growth through acquisition and digital transformation. Working across the organisation you will create a cohesive plan which delivers the organisations ambitions and performance objectives.

If you are interested in the role we would very much like to hear from you. Thank you for your interest.
