    St Anne's Community Services

Ref: GSe83965.1

St Anne’s is one of the largest care providers in the UK, serving people in the north of England, offering leading multi-specialty care to those with the most complex needs and backgrounds. ‘People-focused, passionate, and committed’- this is how their clients, their families, staff and board of trustees describe the culture and encompass many of the aspects which make St Anne’s so special. Since they formed in 1971, they have always stayed true to their founding principles of being for people, by people. Services range from dedicated nursing care, to supporting living, Shared Lives and support for homeless people. Over 95% of our CQC regulated services are rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.

Now at a crucial point in their development, St. Anne’s is looking to add two highly skilled trustees to their dynamic and high functioning board. These roles will be critical to deliver their new 5-year strategy ‘A Life without Limits’.   As a new Board member, you will bring exceptional skills and experience to the team, to help them face the challenges of making sure all voices are heard, and that they can continue to inspire their communities. St Anne’s need to extend their board-level experience with a focus on social care, quality, health and safety, people, and housing. Whilst the Chair and Trustee roles are professional volunteer roles, St Anne’s invest significant time in onboarding, training and opportunities for continuous professional development. Thy are also keen to include opportunities to meet and spend time with their clients and so we can truly represent the voices of the community.

In addition to their wider Trustee responsibilities, they are looking for:

  • One trustee to contribute to the Audit & Risk and Pension & Investment Committees
  • One trustee to contribute to the Quality & Safeguarding and Health & Safety Committees

The Board culture supports and appropriately challenges the Senior Management Team, through strategic-level discussion and debate. Increased board diversity is a goal and St. Anne’s particularly welcome applications from those seeking their first Board opportunity, women, ethnic minorities, the LBGT+ community and actively encourage candidates with disabilities or lived experiences to apply.

If you are looking for a rewarding role that will also stretch you, and you have the skills, experience, and motivation to help deliver this business strategy, we would like to hear from you.

Please contact for an initial conversation.
