Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting to the position of Chief Executive / Chief Fire Officer to direct and lead the Service through change at a strategic level to ensure it successfully achieves its business objectives and accommodates the challenges facing the Authority, through the effective use of the resources available.

With support from the Service Leadership Team, you will provide strategic options for the Police Fire and Crime Commissioner, which ensure we maintain our high standards across the Service to maintain and improve the safety of the 1.8 million residents of the County of Essex.

Demonstrating excellence and commitment to continuous improvement, you will display strategic level attributes to an outstanding standard and have a positive track record of driving change. With a collaborative leadership approach, you will demonstrate a significant commitment to our core values and principles, including championing the benefits of a safe, inclusive and diverse workplace.
