Parliamentary Digital Service
This is an outstanding opportunity to transform our approach to digital, data and technology provision at a time of unprecedented change in political and public life.
Parliamentary Digital Service is a large bicameral live service that supports the important work of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, operating in a complex stakeholder environment in which respect for tradition is matched by a commitment to public service and appetite for innovation. The Houses are dynamic, externally focused organisations that routinely engage with, inform, and act in the best interests of UK citizens and, whilst there are many synergies across the two, there are also many cultural and organisational differences.
As Managing Director, you will play a critical change role in support of both chambers, reimagining and reshaping our provision of digital, data and technology products and services in support of over 10,000 users, each of whom has a diverse range of interests and needs. Change will be multi-faceted: customer experience excellence, interoperability and improved data capability will be supported by transition to a new digital operating model, a resetting of divisional culture that places users and customer service at the heart of operations and delivery and, ultimately, by the provision of sector leading products and services that enable the important work of our high profile users and stakeholders.
You will be a strategic, collaborative and change orientated digital, data and technology leader who operates with credibility in complex stakeholder environments. Ideally with prior experience of having performed a similar role in support of multiple organisations, you will quickly secure the confidence of a diverse audience, having defined and delivered multi-faceted digital transformation, associated organisational design and strategic supplier initiatives to underpin success. An exceptional communicator who operates with transparency and political acumen, you will be equipped to operate at all levels to support, challenge and prioritise in equal measure, and your ability to provide coherent, inspiring and contextual leadership to both internal and external subject matter experts will be key to securing a step change in capability and customer experience.
This is a substantial role that will require you to draw on the full range of your exceptional digital, data and technology leadership credentials to deliver the best outcomes for Parliament.
If this sounds like the challenge for you, we look forward to hearing from you.
