The Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland (LNR) Cluster brings together two Integrated Care Boards serving more than two million people across some of the most diverse and dynamic communities in the country. At a time of significant change across the NHS, we are leading the way to help shape a new model of strategic commissioning, focused on improving population health, reducing inequalities, and ensuring that public resources deliver maximum value for local people. We are one of only two ICBs nationally who are part of the pipeline for Integrated Health Organisation (IHO) contacts and will be co-developing and testing this new model.

We are seeking an exceptional Independent Non-Executive Member to Chair our Joint Finance and Contracting Committee and join the Boards at a pivotal point in our development. This is a rare opportunity to provide oversight, challenge and assurance on financial stewardship, resource allocation and contracting; ensuring that strategic investment supports better population health and sustainable services. You will join an established, collaborative, and dynamic Board; a strong platform for a new Board member to make a meaningful impact from day one.

We are looking for a financially qualified and inclusive leader with substantial board-level experience gained within large and complex organisations or systems in the public, private or not for profit sector.  Demonstrating the ability to understand the opportunities and challenges facing health and care systems and our communities; you will be passionate about improving population health. You will bring a fresh perspective, constructive challenge and a transformational mindset to Board discussions and offer the strategic insight, credibility and judgement required to operate across the breadth and complexity of our agenda.

Most importantly, you will be motivated by the opportunity to improve outcomes, tackle inequalities and support prevention and partnership working. While connections to the East Midlands and previous NHS experience would be welcomed, they are not essential. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and particularly value candidates who can help the Board better reflect the communities it serves.
