Community Health Partnerships (CHP) is seeking a new Chair to provide strategic leadership at an important point in the organisation’s development.

CHP is an NHS company wholly owned by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. We manage 308 NHS LIFT buildings, support more than 1,300 health and care occupiers and oversee public sector interests in an estate portfolio valued at £2.5 billion. Our work helps create the infrastructure needed to deliver more integrated care closer to home.

The next Chair will join as CHP leads work to secure the long-term future of the NHS LIFT estate and strengthens its contribution to neighbourhood health and the effective use of public assets. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Board and Executive Team, you will help shape the organisation’s strategic direction, maintain strong governance and financial stewardship, and ensure that CHP continues to deliver its public purpose.

You will lead an effective and collaborative Board, provide support and constructive challenge to the Chief Executive, and build strong relationships with the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and LIFTCo partners. As CHP’s principal Board representative, you will also act as an ambassador for the organisation and its role in supporting sustainable community healthcare infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Board-level leader with sound judgement, strong governance and commercial understanding gained in the public and private sectors, and the credibility to operate across government, the NHS and other complex stakeholder environments. You will bring experience of chairing senior forums, contributing to long-term organisational strategy and overseeing substantial assets, investments or infrastructure. A clear commitment to public service, inclusion and improving outcomes for patients and communities will be essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Board of an organisation with a distinctive role in supporting the future of community and neighbourhood healthcare across England.
