Locala Health & Wellbeing is one of the UK's most established and successful social enterprises, delivering community health and wellbeing services across West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. As an independent, not-for-profit provider, everything we do is driven by a simple ambition: to providing high quality health and care services in our local communities. Any surplus we generate is reinvested directly into patient care, colleague development and community initiatives, allowing us to create lasting social value alongside high-quality healthcare.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join us as our next Chair. You will challenge and inspire, leading Locala and its Board in the creation and delivery of our organisational strategy, THRIVE, which will be reviewed and refreshed over 2027. This is a pivotal moment for the organisation and an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of community healthcare at a time when the needs of local populations, health systems and colleagues continue to evolve. Working alongside our Chief Executive and Board, you will help ensure we remain a trusted partner, an influential voice for social enterprise and a leading force for improving outcomes in the communities we serve.

We are looking for an inspirational and values-driven leader with the vision, influence and commercial acumen to guide a complex and purpose-led organisation. Comfortable operating at Board level, you will bring experience gained within complex, regulated and stakeholder-rich environments. You will balance social impact with long-term sustainability, provide thoughtful challenge and support, and build effective partnerships across health, care, public, voluntary and commercial sectors.

Most importantly, you will share our belief that great organisations are built around people, communities and values. You will be passionate about improving lives, advancing equality and inclusion, and creating an environment where colleagues feel empowered to deliver outstanding care every day.

This is a rare opportunity to lead an ambitious social enterprise with a clear sense of purpose and a bold vision for the future. Together, we will continue to innovate, grow and make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.
