Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) is the UK's first tenant and employee co-owned mutual housing society, managing more than 11,000 homes across Rochdale. Deeply rooted in our communities, we are committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and services while ensuring customers and colleagues have a genuine voice in shaping our organisation. As we continue our journey of transformation and improvement, we are seeking two outstanding Non-Executive Directors to join our Board.

We are looking for experienced strategic leaders who share our commitment to social purpose, strong governance, and excellent customer outcomes. Both appointments require a strong understanding of the social housing sector and the ability to contribute effectively at Board level through independent challenge, sound judgement and strategic oversight.

One of the opportunities is for a qualified finance professional (CCAB or CIMA) with substantial senior-level financial leadership experience within the sector. You will bring expertise in financial strategy, treasury management, risk and long-term financial sustainability.

The second opportunity is for a legal professional with significant experience of advising social housing organisations. You will bring a strong understanding of housing and company law together with expertise in navigating complex legal, governance and regulatory issues. Experience of strategic partnerships would be advantageous.

For both roles, previous Board or committee experience will be valuable although not essential, together with a commitment to good governance, equality, inclusion, and resident-focused services.

RBH is deeply rooted in Rochdale’s varied communities. If you share our values and want to help us create places where everyone feels empowered, valued and respected, we'd love to hear from you.
