At ForHousing, our vision is to positively impact the lives of our tenants by delivering what matters most to them and their communities. We own and manage 19,000 homes across the North West and are committed to providing safe, affordable and well-maintained homes alongside customer-focused, equitable and efficient services.

Tenant satisfaction underpins our plans and ambitions for the future, therefore listening to tenants and acting on their feedback is at the heart of everything we do. Our culture is one where everyone can thrive and be themselves, and we continually strive to improve services, harness insight and innovation, and make it easier for customers to access the support they need.

There is now an opportunity for three new Board Members to join our ambitious Board and play a key role in shaping our future and ensuring we deliver our strategic objectives:

  • Treasury & Refinancing: We are looking for strategic-level experience of treasury management and refinancing. Experience of hedge accounting would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Our next Senior Independent Director: You’ll bring significant board-level, governance and regulated-sector experience to support the Chair, Committee Chairs and Board Members and provide independent oversight and challenge. You’ll initially join as a Board Member, with succession to the SID role planned from May 2027, at which point remuneration will increase.
  • Technology & Digital: Initially joining as a Co-opted Board Member, you’ll bring strategic expertise from a customer-facing sector with insight into AI, cyber security, digital transformation and emerging technologies that enhance customer outcomes.

We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive culture. We particularly welcome applications from candidates who are currently underrepresented at decision-making levels in our sector, including women, people from ethnic minorities within the UK, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, younger people and people with personal experience of living in social housing.

If you have the skills and ambition to help shape the future of a forward-thinking social housing organisation, we would love to hear from you. For further information, please download the candidate pack by clicking the ‘Continue’ button below.
