ABOUT THE ROLE:
CCR has big ambitions for the future and a desire to be increasingly self-sufficient, reaping the benefits of its evergreen strategy and sourcing new opportunities to further grow and develop, whilst maintaining core accountability to its shareholders and constituent councils. This role provides an opportunity to shape and deliver a new resourcing strategy for a brand-new entity, capitalising on good progress to date and implementing the target operating model.

YOU WILL BRING:

  • Successful and respected leader with a track record of working at board/executive level – in either the public or private sector.
  • Experience working directly with Chief Executive and Monitoring Officer and providing sound advice, balancing the need for both collective and individual accountability in a complex and challenging environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a leadership style that promotes psychological safety and encourages individual development.
  • Significant experience in shaping and delivering financial plans and functions that underpin wider corporate priorities and objectives.
  • Experience of working with political leaders, Committee Chairs and / or equivalent and providing sound financial advice.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with colleagues across organisations and beyond – to deliver a joined-up approach to service planning and delivery.
  • Experience at leading on issues at Board, Committee and Audit Committee level.
  • Proven experience at large change programmes, project management and transformation.
