HM Land Registry sits at the heart of the property market in England and Wales. For more than 160 years we have protected land ownership and provided the trusted data and services that enable people, businesses and government to make informed decisions. Today, with over 7,000 colleagues and a clear ambition to create a world-leading property market that supports a thriving economy and sustainable future, we are driving significant transformation, improving customer experiences and making greater use of digital services and insight.

We are now looking for a Deputy Director of Strategic Communication and Engagement to lead our communications, engagement and external affairs activity at a pivotal time for the organisation. This is a highly influential leadership role, responsible for shaping how we engage with customers, stakeholders, partners and colleagues, ensuring that insight and evidence are at the heart of everything we do. You will lead the development of a joined-up approach to customer engagement, external affairs and communications, helping to build understanding of HM Land Registry's priorities, strengthen our reputation, build our customer partnerships, and support the delivery of our strategic ambitions. As Head of Profession for Government Communications, you will also champion professional excellence and communications capability across the organisation.

We're looking for an accomplished leader with a strong track record of operating at a senior level in stakeholder engagement, communications, external affairs or a related discipline. You'll be equally comfortable setting strategic direction and building relationships, influencing senior stakeholders and translating complex issues into clear, compelling messages. You will bring experience of leading high-performing teams, delivering through collaboration and navigating change in a complex environment. Most importantly, you'll have the credibility, judgement and emotional intelligence to engage a wide range of audiences, build trust and help ensure that the voice of customers and stakeholders informs both decision-making and service delivery.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the reputation, influence and engagement strategy of a nationally significant organisation that touches the lives of millions of people every year.
