Quality homes, great services, vibrant communities.

At Plus Dane Housing, we own and manage over 14,500 homes across Cheshire and Merseyside, providing a home to over 31,500 customers. Alongside delivering safe and affordable housing, we provide services, advice and support that help people thrive in their communities.

As we continue to deliver our ambitious 2024-27 Corporate Plan, we are seeking a Non-Executive Director to join our Board and help shape our future. We are interested in individuals with expertise in strategic asset management gained in social housing or other sectors with large, complex property portfolios. Additional knowledge of repairs and maintenance, voids management, or sustainability would be welcomed. You would join our Purpose Committee, helping to make sure we continue to provide high-quality homes and services with customers’ wellbeing at the heart of decision-making.

This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to an organisation with a turnover of more than £100m and an asset base of approximately £650m. With a strategic and collaborative approach, you’ll bring independent judgement, constructive challenge and sound decision-making to complex issues. Whether this would be your first or next non-executive position, your insight into balancing customer outcomes, operational performance, risk and long-term asset investment will be highly valued.

A strong understanding of good governance and the distinct roles of executive and non-executive leadership is essential. An effective communicator and relationship-builder, you will work positively with Board colleagues and the Executive team to support robust oversight, assurance and delivery of our strategic ambitions. The time commitment is around two days per month.

Our Board champions an inclusive culture where every voice is heard and valued. We are committed to diversity in all its forms, recognising that varied perspectives and lived experiences lead to better decisions. We offer training, development, and opportunities to contribute to projects that shape our future and make a positive impact on our colleagues and customers.
