GatenbySanderson signs the Mental Health at Work Commitment

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, and to solidify our commitment to wellbeing in the workplace, GatenbySanderson has signed the Mental Health at Work Commitment; based on the Thriving at Work standards, other resources, and up-to-date research from UK employers and mental health experts, the Commitment provides a roadmap to achieving better mental health outcomes for employees.

GatenbySanderson has long been committed to the wellbeing of its workforce. With Mental Health First Aiders in place across the business and two Employee Assistance Programmes to choose from, there is plenty of support available to those who need help – whether it be a sympathetic ear at the end of a bad week or something longer-term and more structured that needs to be signposted.

Significant effort has gone into promoting an open culture around mental health, and the six standards of the commitment will further bolster this work:

1. Prioritise mental health in the workplace by developing and delivering a systematic programme of activity

2. Proactively ensure work design and organisational culture drive positive mental health outcomes

3. Promote an open culture around mental health

4. Increase organisational confidence and capability

5. Provide mental health tools and support

6. Increase transparency and accountability through internal and external reporting.
