Clare Davies

Clare has over two decades of experience supporting senior leadership and board-level appointments across the public, not-for-profit, and commercial sectors. Currently Research Lead for Regulation, Central Government, and Digital, Data & Technology, Clare supports search work and practice excellence across the wider business, ensuring outstanding standards and outcomes for clients and candidates alike.

Prior to joining GatenbySanderson, Clare was Operations Director at The Good Board, a B Corp executive search firm focused on appointing leaders who drive positive change for people, planet, and profit. She spent five years as Head of Research and Talent at Society Search where she led research for global executive and non-executive appointments for local and international education institutions, not-for-profit organisations, and commercial entities. Bringing expertise and a strong network to board appointments, Clare worked for Ridgeway Partners supporting the appointment of Chair and Non-Executive Director appointments for FTSE main market, AIM and Private Equity backed companies. Earlier in her career, Clare spent nine years as a Consultant in the Education Practice at Odgers Berndtson as well as time spent working across several commercial markets both in-house as well as in an advisory capacity, covering financial services, clean technology, and renewable energy.

Clare began her career as a field researcher with UNICEF in Kenya, and is a graduate of SOAS University of London, and Cardiff University.
