About the Role

Acting as the Trust’s MHPS subject‑matter expert, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of sensitive and high‑risk cases, ensuring that all processes are robust, fair, and aligned with national NHS standards.  You’ll work closely with senior medical leaders, HR teams, legal advisors, and external partners, offering trusted professional advice and ensuring cases progress efficiently and transparently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer mentoring and guidance to HR colleagues on complex casework.

About You

We are seeking individuals with:

  • Significant ER experience within the NHS or a similarly complex, regulated environment.
  • Deep knowledge of the MHPS framework and medical workforce casework.
  • Strong judgement, integrity, and the ability to handle highly sensitive situations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including working with senior clinicians.
  • Confidence leading investigations, hearings, and complex case panels.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience).
