Jo Thornton, a Partner in our not for profit practice talks to Eric Salama, Chair of Comic Relief.  Eric discusses Comic Relief’s commitment to shifting power and how the organisation is prioritising equity in its work.  He shares his thoughts on how the pandemic will affect the charity sector in the short and long term, the strength of Comic Relief’s brand and the strong and supportive relationships with partners that have been so vital to the charity’s success.  

Eric joined Comic Relief’s board as Chair in July 2020.  Previously, he was CEO of international research, insight and data consultancy Kantar, where he led the organisation for over 18 years. He has previously served as an advisor to the Government on e-commerce and business, and as a non-executive director at DFID (The Department for International Development) and has helped many brands expand both locally and internationally.
