Introducing Frazer Thouard to the Local Government team

Frazer Thouard has recently joined the Local Government team to further develop our services and introduced fresh talent to clients in London and the South East. Frazer’s broad experience of delivering solutions for clients across the Public & Not for Profit sectors lends itself extremely well to this new challenge, one he is looking forward to embracing.

Since joining GS, Frazer has been very active across our Housing, Transport & Infrastructure practice where change and transformation is shaping much of the sector. He has supported a number of key appointments where the search focus has been very much upon identifying new technology and change management talent, managing merger and acquisitions as well as board governance and oversight. He is already leading a number of place shaping, community and environment roles across London and the South.

Frazer’s priority is to address some of the future challenges facing local government and to bring his place shaping, community and corporate resources expertise to help the sector re-think its talent requirements to be future ready. Prior to joining GS, Frazer established a successful executive search team for a UK-wide Public Sector consultancy, delivering over 100 senior and leadership appointments for his clients.

Speaking of this move, Frazer says:

“It is incredibly exciting to join the Local Government practice at this unique point in time, especially as the sector is vocal about the need for new thinking. Local Government is very much a cornerstone of our business and I am looking to further our partnership approach. As Councils look to develop new service models and transform the way they support their communities, I plan to bring a fresh perspective on where talent exists, both within and outside the sector, and look forward to encouraging the sector to be brave and look at candidates differently.”

Frazer’s move comes as we announce 3 new members to further enhance our Local Government team; Nancy Scott (Partner), Seb Lowe (Partner) and Delicia Coutinho (Senior Researcher). Together they will work collaboratively with clients offering fresh thinking to promote new and diverse talent into the sector and help local authorities navigate cultural and organisational change to shape better, more inclusive communities.
