We make a difference in people’s lives every day.

As one of Wales’ largest community mutual housing providers, Tai Tarian manages over 9,000 homes across Neath Port Talbot, and we’re proud to be more than a landlord. Rooted in our communities, our values Be Bold, Be Kind, Be Fair, shape how we work, supported by a long‑standing focus on partnership and place. Our corporate plan sets out four priorities for the future - Sustainable Homes, Sustainable Communities, Sustainable Planet and Sustainable Business, reflecting our belief that we succeed when our tenants, communities and colleagues do.

Innovation and continuous improvement are central to our approach. Through our Elevate transformation programme, we’re modernising services, improving customer experience, embracing technology and strengthening the brilliant basics. We’re now seeking an inspirational Chief Executive to lead Tai Tarian into its next chapter—someone with authenticity, presence and a deep appreciation of the social and economic challenges our communities face. You will understand the importance of trust, visibility and partnership, and champion services shaped with tenants, not simply for them.

A commercially minded, community‑focused and transformational leader, you will set a clear strategic direction aligned to our long-term priorities, while preserving the values, culture and deep local roots that define who we are. You’ll work collaboratively with our Board, partners and colleagues across Neath Port Talbot to deliver sustainable, high‑quality homes and services, support economic regeneration, and ensure we continue to lead the sector in areas such as decarbonisation, customer experience and social value.

While experience working directly in the social housing sector is not essential, you will bring leadership experience from a regulated, customer‑focused environment with significant operational or asset complexity. Knowledge of the sector is highly desirable.  You may be an aspiring or established Chief Executive, but what matters most is your ability to lead with integrity, drive and humility, and a commitment to strengthening our role as a trusted community anchor organisation.

Tai Tarian is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified individuals. If you require adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know - we’re committed to supporting every candidate to perform at their best.

If you would welcome a confidential conversation, please contact our advising consultants at GatenbySanderson: Chantelle Harris on 07384 460191 (chantelle.harris@gatenbysanderson.com) or Jude Watters on 07594 250 060 (jude.watters@gatenbysanderson.com).

The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 20th April 2026.
