caba supports the ICAEW community through moments of challenge, crisis and change. We help people facing hardship or poor health to regain independence and confidence—with compassion, expertise and practical support. As the organisation continues to evolve, modernise, and grow its impact, we are seeking an exceptional senior leader to join us as our new Director of Transformation & Operations.

About the role

This is a pivotal position at the heart of caba’s next chapter. Working closely with the CEO and Board, you will play a central role in shaping organisational direction, driving performance, and ensuring our internal services are aligned, high‑performing, and enabling us to deliver meaningful outcomes for our community.

You will provide strategic leadership across finance, people & culture, insight & impact, digital & systems, marketing & communications, governance, and operations—bringing cohesion, discipline, and forward momentum to an organisation that has undergone significant professionalisation in recent years and is now ready for its next stage of growth.

This is an opportunity for a confident, experienced senior leader who can bring clarity, pace and high standards—someone who thrives in both strategy and delivery, and who is energised by building strong, modern organisational capability.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a leader with a strong track record in organisational transformation, operations, and culture change—someone who can confidently identify what needs to happen and make it happen.

Someone who is values‑driven, outcomes‑focused, and motivated by meaningful impact. You thrive in complexity, bring innovative solutions, and are comfortable working in ambiguity. You are confident, direct, and unafraid to hold a strong view where needed—while building trust and engagement across teams.

You understand what it takes to move an organisation from “good intentions” to consistently high performance. You enjoy bringing simplicity, structure and discipline where it’s needed, and creating the conditions for people to do their best work.

If you're excited by shaping the future of a purpose‑driven organisation—one that is deeply committed to supporting its community—we would love to hear from you.
