That’s why we’re hiring our first Head of Employer Growth, a senior leader who can build a high‑performing new business engine that wins the right employers, shapes credible apprenticeship solutions, and fuels Tiro’s next phase of growth.

The role

You will:

  • Lead the shift from selling “training” to solution‑led, capability‑first consultative sales.
  • Build and scale the Employer Growth engine: discovery, qualification, solution shaping, proposal, negotiation and clean sign‑off.
  • Own our new business strategy across priority verticals and ideal customer profiles (ICPs), defining where we play and who we target.
  • Lead enterprise‑level new business acquisition, engaging senior stakeholders and navigating complex buying environments.
  • Embed commercial and data discipline through rigorous pipeline management, forecasting, conversion analysis and CRM excellence.
  • Set the standards, rhythms and governance that make performance measurable, predictable and scalable.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Employer Success, Delivery, Product, Recruitment, Finance and Operations to ensure employers experience one joined‑up Tiro.

This role is central to how we grow: strong Employer Growth brings in the right employers, shapes the right solutions and sets every partnership up for long‑term value.

About you

You’re an experienced commercial leader from solution‑sales, business development or B2B growth roles, ideally in complex or regulated environments such as SaaS, technical services, scientific industries or education‑related fields.

You bring:

  • Experience designing and scaling high‑performing new business or solution‑sales functions.
  • Strong enterprise sales capability with confidence influencing senior stakeholders and buying groups.
  • Data‑led discipline: pipeline hygiene, accurate forecasting, conversion analysis and insight‑driven decisions.
  • A collaborative, coaching‑led leadership style with high standards and high care.
