This is an exciting time to be joining Croydon. Under our current political and officer leadership, a huge amount has been achieved as we move towards a more sustainable and prosperous future for our residents and businesses. Our transformation programme and the development of our new target operating model are well underway, and we have made significant progress in laying the foundations of a financially stable future.

Now that we have put the conditions in place for our future prosperity, there is a huge amount of work to do to finish the job.

As our new Director of Repairs and Asset Management, you will lead one of the most critical services in the council – ensuring that our 15,000 homes and 2,500 leasehold properties are safe, well-maintained, and fit for the future. You will be responsible for the delivery of responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and asset investment programmes, as well as ensuring full compliance with building and fire safety regulations.

This is a role that demands strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of housing asset management. You will be a visible and accountable leader, working closely with residents, contractors, and colleagues across the council to deliver high-quality, value-for-money services that meet the needs of our communities and comply with the latest consumer standards.

If you have a track record of transforming housing repairs and asset services, and are passionate about delivering safe, decent homes for all, we want to hear from you.
