The Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead cloud transformation at scale within a national organisation. As Head of Cloud Services, you will define and deliver NHSBSA’s cloud strategy, establish a Cloud Centre of Excellence, and lead the evolution of our multi-cloud environments.

If you’re a proven cloud leader looking to make a tangible impact, drive transformation, and leave a legacy of modern, sustainable cloud capability, this is your opportunity.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and deliver NHSBSA’s multi-cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and future needs.

  • Oversee cloud governance, architecture and security, ensuring compliance with UK Government and NHS standards.
  • Lead cloud financial management, embedding FinOps principles to optimise spend and improve transparency.
  • Drive the migration from on-premise systems to cloud, supporting delivery teams with scalable and secure solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, architects and delivery teams to embed cloud into digital transformation programmes.
  • Build and develop a high-performing cloud team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Horizon-scan for emerging technologies and lead the adoption of modern cloud practices across the organisation.
