Rebecca forms part of our Local Government Team at GatenbySanderson, whom are responsible for attracting, recruiting and securing high-quality candidates across the UK.
Rebecca moved from the private sector to local government in 2014, whereby she gained an extensive in-house knowledge of the services, financial governance and political landscape that comes from working for a large unitary, member-led local authority.
Leading the executive recruitment function for a fast-paced and unapologetically ambitious authority allowed her an excellent opportunity to shape both her relationships with senior officers and elected members, but also externally with a multitude of executive search providers, stakeholders across the city and statutory bodies.
Her specialisms within Organisational Development, HR and Executive Recruitment have allowed her a detailed insight into the needs of a client; providing her with a huge empathy and understanding for what a client expects and deserves from an executive search consultant.
With a clear passion for building professional and long-standing relationships, Rebecca thrives on ensuring solutions contribute not only to the overall vision and strategy of the organisation, but also seeking candidates who will enrich the dynamic and breadth of the senior leadership team they will be joining.
Rebecca has previously trained in British Sign Language (BSL – Level 2) and plans to continue her learning in the near future. She finds the language both incredibly interesting and expressive but also opens up a whole new colleague and friendship group through the deaf community.
