Mae Addysg a Gwella Iechyd Cymru (AaGIC) yn chwilio am arweinydd eithriadol a gweledigaethol i ymuno â'n Bwrdd fel Cyfarwyddwr Gweithredol Nyrsio, Proffesiynau Iechyd ac Ansawdd.

Mae hon yn rôl genedlaethol ganolog wrth wraidd GIG Cymru, gan lunio dyfodol ein gweithlu gofal iechyd, hyrwyddo arloesedd, a sicrhau'r safonau addysg ac ymarfer proffesiynol uchaf.

Ein gweithlu GIG yw ein hased mwyaf ac felly mae ein rôl yn ganolog i gyflawni blaenoriaethau GIG Cymru. Rydym yn angerddol am y gwerth ychwanegol a ddarparwn i GIG Cymru a'r effaith sydd gennym ar wella iechyd y boblogaeth a gofal cleifion.

Am y Rôl

Fel Cyfarwyddwr Gweithredol, byddwch yn:

  • Darparu arweinyddiaeth strategol ar gyfer trawsnewid y gweithlu ar draws nyrsio, bydwreigiaeth, proffesiynau iechyd cynghreiriol, gwyddor gofal iechyd a seicoleg.
  • Llunio a llywio polisi a strategaeth genedlaethol mewn partneriaeth â Llywodraeth Cymru, GIG Cymru, rheoleiddwyr a chyrff proffesiynol.
  • Arwain ar y Ddyletswydd Ansawdd drwy system rheoli ansawdd effeithiol i yrru gwelliant parhaus ar draws holl swyddogaethau AaGIC.
  • Hyrwyddo arweinyddiaeth dosturiol, gynhwysol ac aml-broffesiynol, gan osod y naws a'r diwylliant ar gyfer AaGIC a'r system iechyd a gofal ehangach.
  • Gyrru atebion trawsnewid y gweithlu ar gyfer rhaglenni cenedlaethol y GIG a rhwydweithiau clinigol.

Byddwch yn arweinydd nyrsio uwch medrus a pharchus gyda'r awdurdod, yr hygrededd a'r weledigaeth strategol i gyflawni ar lefel y Bwrdd a lefel genedlaethol. Byddwch yn dangos:

  • Cofrestriad cyfredol gyda'r Cyngor Nyrsio a Bydwreigiaeth (NMC).
  • Hanes profedig o arweinyddiaeth strategol, dylanwadu a negodi ar lefel weithredol neu system.
  • Angerdd a brwdfrydedd dros ddulliau arloesol o ddatblygu'r gweithlu ac addysg, 
  • Y gallu i ysbrydoli, meithrin ymddiriedaeth, a gyrru newid cynaliadwy ar draws ffiniau proffesiynol a sefydliadol, yng Nghymru a ledled y DU.
  • Cyd-fynd â gwerthoedd GIG Cymru ac ymroddiad personol i hyrwyddo cynhwysiant, amrywiaeth a rhagoriaeth.

Cyfrifoldebau Allweddol

  • Rhoi cyngor arbenigol, strategol a phroffesiynol i'r Bwrdd a'r Tîm Gweithredol ar bob agwedd ar gylch gwaith AaGIC.
  • Arwain mentrau trawsnewid gweithlu aml-broffesiynol cenedlaethol mewn cydweithrediad â rhaglenni cenedlaethol a rhwydweithiau clinigol
  • Arwain gweithrediad cynlluniau gweithlu strategol blaenoriaeth
  • Goruchwylio cyflwyno'r Adroddiad Ansawdd blynyddol a gweithredu'r system rheoli ansawdd.
  • Gweithio gyda'r Cyfarwyddwr Meddygol a Chyfarwyddwr Strategaeth Addysg a Thrawsnewid i sicrhau addysg a hyfforddiant o ansawdd da ar draws pob proffesiwn
  • Cryfhau partneriaethau strategol gyda'r llywodraeth, rheoleiddwyr, sefydliadau academaidd, a chyrff proffesiynol yn unol â Fframwaith Cyfathrebu ac Ymgysylltu Strategol Addysg a Gwella Cymru
  • Modelu arweinyddiaeth dosturiol, gynhwysol a meithrin diwylliant cydweithredol, perfformio uchel ar draws AaGIC, trwy grwpiau cyfoedion perthnasol y GIG a chyda sefydliadau eraill y GIG.

Leading on Workforce Transformation for a Healthier Wales  

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to join our Board as Executive Director of Nursing, Health Professions & Quality.

This is a pivotal national role at the heart of NHS Wales, shaping the future of our healthcare workforce, championing innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of education and professional practice.

About the Role

As Executive Director, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership for workforce transformation across nursing, midwifery, allied health professions, healthcare science, and psychology.
  • Shape and inform national policy and strategy in partnership with Welsh Government, NHS Wales, regulators and professional bodies.
  • Lead on the Duty of Quality through an effective quality management system to drive continuous improvement across all HEIW functions.
  • Champion compassionate, inclusive, and multi-professional leadership, setting the tone and culture for HEIW and the wider health and care system.
  • Drive workforce transformation solutions for national NHS l programmes and clinical networks.

About You

You will be an accomplished and respected senior nurse leader with the authority, credibility, and strategic vision to deliver at Board and national level. You will demonstrate:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • A proven record of strategic leadership, influencing, and negotiation at executive or system level.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for innovative approaches to workforce development and education,  
  • The ability to inspire, build trust, and drive sustainable change across professional and organisational boundaries, within Wales and across the UK.
  • Alignment with NHS Wales values and a personal dedication to championing inclusion, diversity, and excellence.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide expert, strategic and professional advice to the Board and Executive Team on all aspects of HEIW’s remit.
  • Lead national multi professional workforce transformation initiatives in collaboration with national programmes and clinical networks
  • Lead implementation of priority strategic workforce plans
  • Oversee delivery of the annual Quality Report and implementation of the quality management system.
  • Work with Medical Director and Director of Education Strategy and Transformation to ensure good quality education and training across all professions
  • Strengthen strategic partnerships with government, regulators, academic institutions, and professional bodies in accordance with the HEIW Strategic Communications and Engagement Framework
  • Model compassionate, inclusive leadership and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture across HEIW, through relevant NHS peer groups and with other NHS organisations.
