Our vision for Rotherham is that we come together as a community, where we seek to draw on our proud history to build a bright future, we can all share. We respect decency and dignity, and seek to shape a borough where opportunity is extended to everyone, where people can grow, flourish and prosper, and where no one is left behind. We believe that good quality, secure and safe housing is at the heart of our vision for residents, and as a large stock-owning authority with over 20,000 homes, we are empowered to support our communities to thrive and live well.

As the Assistant Director of Housing, you will lead the entirety of our housing services across a large, dedicated and stable team. You will lead landlord services, front door and allocations, housing growth, compliance, repairs and our HRA account. We are continually evolving as a team, and this is a unique opportunity to reshape our service, continue to deliver £222m of investment in new housing, existing stock and our net zero ambitions.

Reporting to the Strategic Director of Adult Care, Housing and Public Health, you will be part of a directorate committed to achieving our vision of creating healthy and resilient neighbourhoods, recognising the important role that access to decent and affordable homes plays in supporting communities to lead healthy and prosperous lives. We are looking for someone who shares our vision, is ambitious to build a stable future for our borough, is excited by the opportunity to deliver housing growth and investment, bringing a wealth of experience across housing services. This is an exciting time to join a thriving Rotherham and be part of an excellent, collaborative team.
