Stockport NHS Foundation Trust
At Stockport NHS Foundation Trust we hold a unique position in our local community as the provider of health care to our population and surrounding areas, and with over 5,000 colleagues, we are one of Stockport’s largest employers. In addition to core services provided in hospital and in the community, we provide several specialist services, and play a key partnership role within Greater Manchester, Stockport, East Cheshire and North Derbyshire.
We have an ambitious vision for the future of our organisation and have agreed a new five year strategy. At the heart of this are our Trust values and our commitment to embedding an inclusive, clinically led culture in both the organisation and within our local system; an environment where all our staff are supported to reach their potential. We are honest about the challenges facing us and the sustained improvements we are determined to make to provide the best possible care for local people. We also celebrate the successes of our dedicated teams who have lots to be proud of, not least that some of our services are rated amongst the best in the country. We are now playing our part in shaping local and regional NHS services as we move into the recovery phase of the pandemic.
This is an exciting time to join us as our new Medical Director as we work with staff and patients on the development of our clinical service strategies to support the Trust’s five year strategy. With investment secured for supporting leadership development and to deliver sustained improvement in quality and safety we can really start to transform the services we provide. We aim to build on the rapid innovations that our teams rolled out across both hospital and community services as part of the response to Covid-19, and continue to strengthen the partnerships that have proved so successful in rising to recent challenges.
For this pivotal Board position, we are keen to hear from Medical Leaders with Board level or equivalent experience. A collaborative and innovative leader; you will be a champion for diversity and inclusion and for putting the patient at the heart of all strategic decisions. Bringing energy and vision to our journey of continuous improvement, you will ably establish credibility in engaging with a wide range of partners within our local and regional systems. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a refreshed leadership team committed to working with staff, our public and our partners to transform services for the people of Stockport and beyond.
