Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides high quality care to a population of approximately 300,000 people living in the areas of Alsager, Crewe, Congleton, Knutsford, Middlewich, Nantwich, Northwich, Sandbach and Winsford. We provide a wide range of acute, maternity, child health and intermediate care services from our three sites – Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford. We are also part of the Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership, a unique local health partnership that provides community health services for people across South Cheshire and Vale Royal. Employing around 4,500 members of staff, we have an annual income of more than £300m.
We are a progressive and ambitious organisation with a vision ‘to inspire hope and provide unparalleled care for the people and communities of Cheshire, helping them to enjoy life to the fullest’ and we are committed to continually improving our services and the experience of our patients and staff. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic we have continued to focus on working in partnership with our communities, staff and our stakeholders across the health and social care system to deliver high quality and sustainable services for our population. We are one of a small number of acute Trusts rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission and we are proud to be one of the top acute trusts in the country for staff engagement.
We are now seeking an exceptional individual to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of our Audit Committee, to support progression of our ongoing transformational journey. Providing scrutiny, governance and strategic leadership grounded in board level experience, you will bring recent financial leadership experience gained within organisations of a similar size and complexity, with the associated UK financial qualifications and membership. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring new insight, to shape the delivery of our strategy and future performance, enhancing the health and wellbeing of our staff and the populations we serve.
