Our client, a leading charity providing services to Adults with identified health or social care needs, including people with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, living with Dementia as well as older people and carers, is looking to appoint an Interim Chief Operating Officer for a period of up to 6 months.

 

The role will require someone who has a solid track record of working within similar organisations and extensive knowledge of the CQC guidelines & regulations.

 

This role will require some extensive travel from the North-West to Cambridgeshire, so flexibility to do this is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities of the role;

 

  • To provide leadership and direction to 18 CQC regulated services including care homes, extra care, independent hospital, community-based LD services and respite centre. Approx. 500 staff.
  • Provide line management to the CQC based Regional Heads of Operations. 
  • Ensure the provision of day-to-day safe, high quality, person-centred services through establishing new and embedding existing core standards that meet organisational, regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Ensure all CQC services are internally assessed, with consultancy support as required, as at least Good across the KLOEs
  • Assess operations across the CQC services developing and implementing plans to continuously improve
  • Work with the quality function to embed quality standards and audit frameworks
  • Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to address areas of improvement
  • Support the roll out of a new operational KPIs and embed within the services
