In terms of remuneration, the position sits inside IR35 and is at a VSM grade, preferably on a Fixed Term Contract, however our client is also open to engaging candidates on a day rate. Our client is ideally looking for someone to undertake the role 5 days a week, although a 4-day working week can be considered. The role has a requirement to be on-site 1 to 2 days per week to provide visible leadership.

The Job Role – This role will be responsible for managing and implementing the System-wide Financial Operational Plan Delivery. Within this, there will be a considerable focus on meeting ambitious plans to balance budgets across System Partners and ensure vital service budgets are kept stable. Furthermore, this position will also involve working closely with other CCG and NHS Provider executives to see through the Operational Plan Delivery, working with Acute, Community, Mental Health and Primary Care Partners.

Leading a team of 70 professionals, the successful post-holder will be the focal point in the System regarding all financial matters. This will include but is not limited to supporting the System’s Provider Trust in their financial recovery process, as well as supporting the Finance Team at the CCG during this period of change.

The Person – All applicants must hold an accountancy qualification and have previous experience working in an NHS or Regulatory environment. Our client has indicated that it would be preferable if applicants have either previous Acute Provider, Mental Health and/or NHS System level experience. Previous experience working at an executive director level is essential.
