Interim Assistant Area Director – Community Services – NHS Organisation, North West – Start ASAP – 6 Month Duration + – Competitive Budget, Day Rate or FTC

We are seeking an Interim Assistant Area Director – Community Services for an NHS organisation in the North West. The role is to start as soon as possible, and the duration of the contract is expected to run for 6 months + whilst the Trust recruits substantially. In terms of remuneration, the position sits inside IR35 and there is a competitive budget available on either a day rate or fixed term contract. Our client is ideally looking for someone to undertake the role 5 days a week but a 4-day working week can be considered. The role would require you to be on-site 2 days a week.

The Job Role – This position would be responsible for community hospital bed base across 4 sites, as well as managing a small team of 3 General Managers across the patch. Crucial to the role is having a solid grip on patient discharge and patient flow (within unscheduled care).

The successful post-holder would also be responsible for supporting a group of medical specialities, including but not limited to a stroke programme, a vaccination programme, sexual health, palliative care. Further responsibilities of this role encompass the maintaining and nurturing external relationships with local authorities.

The Person – Our client is ideally looking for someone who has solid, proven work experience gained with a similar operational role for a Community NHS Provider. Experience working in unscheduled care and patient discharge would be beneficial but not essential. Great communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a number of external stakeholders is crucial to this role.
