Interim Operations Manager (Planned Care Recovery) – 4-6 month contract – Inside IR35 – Competitive day rate -To start ASAP

We are currently working with our client, an NHS organisation in the North West, with their search for an Interim Operations Manager to support the planned care recovery. This role is a new permanent role in the structure, however, in the meantime, they need an interim to support the Head of Planned Care and the overall Trust manager for contract management.

The role is looking to start as soon as possible and will be for a circa of 5 months. The Interim Planned Care Recovery Manager role will ideally be performed on a full-time basis. The successful candidate would be expected to be on site once a week or per fortnight with the rest being conducted remotely.

 

The Job Role –The job role will include (but not be limited to) the following duties:

  • Refining the governance framework around insourcing and outsourcing
  • Set up standard operating procedures to ensure consistency - checking teams are working in the same way across different sites
  • Manage recruitment phase ready for contracts to be 'insourced' - this includes devising and recruiting to these roles
  • Monitoring of outsourced contracts – work with Business Intelligence and Performance teams as well as the contracts managers to check how things are being delivered.  Linking in with the performance team to devise a performance dashboard.
  • Some line management responsibilities – which includes management of around 8 or 9 Band 2 staff

 

The Person - Our client is ideally looking for someone who has solid, proven work experience gained in a similar role either from the NHS or a similar sector. Candidates should be self-starters who are practical, calm, and good at driving through change. Ideally, suitable candidates should be analytically minded, be adept at asking insightful questions and people orientated.
