We are currently working with a Local Authority in the Greater London area to appoint an Interim Assistant Director Place, Communities and Enterprise. They are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for up to 12 months.


This role will lead and develop a crucial group of services within the Council's new management and leadership structure.


The Council is putting in place corporate working arrangements to deliver place-based solutions to both the development and regeneration of key locations in the Borough, and to the effective co-ordination of services run by both the Council and its partner organisations.


The postholder will lead and be accountable for service planning, development and delivery for a range of Council Services/Teams grouped under the following service headings:

  • Arts and Entertainment
  • Community Partnerships
  • Economic Development/Inward Investment


A key output of this interim appointment will be to deliver the restructure of the assigned services to support the Council’s approach towards placemaking and place-based solutions to service delivery.


This role will be working 3 days per week and be mainly remote working with the requirement to be in the office between 2 - 4 days per month. This role falls inside IR35.
