Interim Director of Operations – NHS Acute Foundation Trust, South East – Start ASAP – Up to 6 Months Duration – Band 9 Inside IR35 – Full Time

We are seeking an Interim Director of Operations for our client, an NHS Acute Foundation Trust. The role is to start as soon as possible and the duration of the contract is expected to run up to 6 months. This role sits at a band 9 level and it falls inside IR35. Our client is ideally looking for someone to undertake the role 5 days a week but a 4 day condensed working week can be considered. The role would require you to be on-site at least 4 days a week, ideally 5 if possible. Given the operational nature of the remit you would be required to travel amongst the hospital sites.

The Job Role - The successful post-holder will be responsible for providing operational leadership within the Medicine Care Group. Given the time of the year we are in, the role will have a prominent focus on patient flow and RTT. This person will be tasked with driving the elective recovery programme in place at the Foundation Trust, focusing on medical specialities such as endoscopy, cardiology and respiratory services, amongst others.

The Person – Our client is looking for someone who has gained operational leadership experience in an NHS setting and is familiar with the areas identified in this role’s remit. Ideally, candidates will have a Care Group background in Medicine, however other backgrounds can be considered as well.

How to Apply – If you would like to apply for this position, please submit an up-to-date copy of your CV that supports the criteria set out in the person specification as well as your contact details, availability and desired rate. Due to the number of applications we are currently receiving for roles, we will only be in contact with candidates who meet the required criteria to discuss the role further.
