We are seeking an Interim Director of Environment to provide outstanding leadership and direction to a portfolio of services including the City Council's Sport & Leisure service, Waste & recycling services, Parks & Open Spaces, Sayers Croft and other associated services. As part of the role you will provide an ambitious strategic vision for the future development of these services, driving service transformation through innovation in line with our City For All priorities and in particular our corporate response to tackle the climate change and environmental issues faced today. As a member of the Council’s Senior Leadership Team to contribute proactively to the collective leadership of the Council, working collaboratively with members, services across the council, partners and stakeholders to deliver the council’s objectives and priorities. Other duties will include but not be limited to:
- To represent and lead this diverse range of high-profile, public facing services, foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivering services that are recognised as a leader in their field.
- To lead existing and new partnerships with outsourced providers, the health service, voluntary sector, members and other external stakeholders, working collaboratively with them to deliver City for All priorities.

The role is expected to last 6 months, day rate is dependent on experience inside IR35. It will be remote working for the duration of the contract but the role is London based.
