Our client, in the Education sector, are seeking a CIO for a minimum term of 3 months, to begin immediately.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an organisation that has a national scale digital product and service offering. They will have a good, high-level understanding of technical architecture and experience of organisational development. We will be looking for candidates from a range of backgrounds, however experience in the not for profit sector will be advantageous.

Some responsibilities will include;

  • Overseeing the implementation of recommendations for improvements in specific systems
  • Overseeing a documented handover of the current systems and data architecture from the current consultant CTO and the director of our third-party development supplier
  • Overseeing an assessment of our current enterprise architecture, including business systems and customer-facing systems, and make recommendations for future direction (may include recruitment and management of an analyst/architect to carry out this work)
  • Advising on the structure for the technology function, and support on role definition and recruitment

The role will be home-based initially, with the view to working in London thereafter.
