A greater London Council are seeking an interim Head of Property to oversee the management of the Council’s property investment portfolio of over £380m of assets, currently delivering c£16m of rental income, to maximise overall returns.  This includes c£200m relating to the Business Park.  There are a number of regeneration schemes including the large scale redevelopments around city.  The appointed person will play a key role in supporting successful delivery of the scheme and will specifically advise on property related aspects.  Following the Covid-19 emergency, it is anticipated that there will be a significant number of rental reviews and property related investment decisions this role will have to decide or make recommendations on.  The appointed person will manage a small capable team, who are able to work independently.  Other duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Council’s asset management strategy.
  • Production of  management reports where required  and reporting to the Council’s senior Councillors and senior leadership team
  • To prepare rent forecasts to all the investment properties
  • To co-ordinate the annual valuations of the portfolio.
  • To co-ordinate with the finance team the annual insurance valuations.
  • Provide general viability advice

This role is inside IR35 and day rate will be dependent on experience.
