As the Community Safety Team Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the services business objectives overseeing the coordination and delivery of  the Council’s Community Safety Partnership.  The post holder will deliver the community safety priorities set by the Council and the statutory Community Safety Partnership for the borough providing evidence lead evaluations to elected members, senior managers and the wider community.  Part of the role  will be the effective management of staff to deliver services that will achieve continuous improvement of the Council and monitoring the external grant spend and quarterly returns: current value circa £250,000 annually  Other duties will include but not be limited to:

  • To provide visible leadership alongside effective and efficient management on all matters directly relating to the duties of the post holder independently and/or alongside the Head of Community Safety.
  • To lead on reviewing operational procedures or organisational arrangements e.g. in response to changing work priorities or legislation
  • To provide robust case supervision to staff ensuring that cases are being managed in accordance with statute and that risk is mitigated with outcomes delivered
  • Developing ASB officers in their understanding and confidence when interviewing offenders whether at their homes, in police stations, or in council/partners buildings
  • Delivery of community safety priorities set by the Council and the statutory Community Safety Partnership, providing evidence lead evaluations to elected members, senior managers and the wider community.

This role is for up to 6 months and day rate will be dependent on experience inside IR35.
