We are seeking an interim Director of Property Services who reports directly to the Managing Director, leading the management and improvement of our repairs and maintenance service. The ideal candidate will have experience of running a similar service in an organisation of similar size and complexity and demonstrable experience of delivering improvements to service and profitability. You will also be an excellent communicator, able to quickly build effective relationships across stakeholders including the Council staff and expert at financial and data analysis. This is a new role, supplementing the current management structure and the individual will also be instrumental in helping to shape the service structure going forward. Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure that this business has a strong customer focus, establishing close liaison and links with Housing Client teams and Residents to ensure proper co-ordination of the service and excellent customer satisfaction that is continually improving.
- Responsible for the establishment of performance targets (informed by benchmarking) that will ensure periodic and routine feedback, including ensuring maximum procedural compliance through regular audit & control, and recommend innovation through new strategies, policies and plans
- Being accountable for the management, development and growth of a highly commercial in-house housing repairs, maintenance and minor works, working to achieve best in class customer satisfaction, quality and value for money
- Delivering the new target operating model successfully to ensure a highly efficient, cost effective and customer / client focused service
The role is required for 3- 6 months pending recruitment to a permanent role day rate will be dependent on experience.
