Assistant Director of Transformation and Change

A London borough council are seeking an Assistant Director of Transformation and Change on a fixed-term contract for a period of two years.   This is a critical strategic leadership role, operating at the heart of the Council, reporting directly to the Director of Improvement.  Candidates for this role must be able to demonstrate:

  • A full understanding of public sector leadership including programme and project management, governance, business process reviews, change management, gaining investment through effective business cases and manging relationships with elected members.
  • Specialist knowledge of transformation, continuous improvement techniques and organisational development.
  • Ability to deliver consultancy interventions and manage organisational change.
  • Interpret policy and strategy and carry out sensitive, complex report writing.

This role involves supporting, enabling and challenging the Council to deliver successful, inclusive and sustainable improvements.  You will lead a core team, while also communicating and collaborating effectively across the council to deliver a cohesive positive impact.
