Principal Regulatory Policy Analyst

A utilities body covering England and Wales are seeking an interim Principal Regulatory Policy Analyst to support the team by providing professional expertise up until 2nd March 2020.

The post-holder will make sure regulation enables strategic capital projects to improve resilience of services/utilities into the future. It will track a range of projects which are currently being explored. It will address any significant ‘barriers and gaps’ in the regulatory processes, institutions and commercial frameworks ensuring that they are developed in a timely and co-ordinated way.

The changing environmental landscape, and the pressures of such, impact on the availability of utilities. Some areas of the country, particularly in the South and South East require intervention to ensure that customers’ needs for reliable and affordable utilities are being met, in the long term, without damaging the environment.

Some key objectives of the role will be to:

  • Develop regulatory and commercial frameworks for strategic capital projects
  • Provide project management to ensure progress is maintained in a timely and co-ordinated way
  • Acting as the principal regulatory interface with the industry on such projects

This role is inside IR35 and salary is dependent upon experience. The closing date for applications is Thursday 7th August.
