Head of Area Regeneration
A London Borough are seeking an Interim Head of Area Regeneration to lead and oversee the strategic development, design, management and implementation of a high profile, high quality and high value programmes of regeneration, helping to deliver outcomes in line with the Borough Plan and the Equalities Commission report (or equivalent) in one or more town centre or neighbourhoods across the borough. You will promote and develop the Council’s inclusive growth agenda, creating new homes and jobs for the benefit of the community as a whole, driving the sustainable improvement and long term economic prosperity of the borough’s town centres and neighbourhoods. For this you will hold a degree and/or chartered membership linked to one of the built environment professions, including urban regeneration, planning, architecture/urban design,
surveying or construction, or be able to demonstrate a detailed and technical expertise in one or more of these areas. Duties will include but not be limited to :
- To be responsible for the leadership and effective management of the allocated regeneration programme(s)
- To identify inward investment opportunities, developing employment and business, and represent the council with public and private sector agencies to maximise public and private sector inward investment to support delivery of neighbourhood and town centre regeneration.
- To develop and implement effective planning, clienting and property development arrangements to ensure the delivery of high quality and sustainable development which enhances town centres and neighbourhoods, and develops the social, economic, health and environmental well-being of the community.
This role is inside IR35 c£450 and estimated to last for 6 months.
