Head of Commercial Sales

As part of a London Council's approach to being ruthlessly financially efficient, they are looking at developing a suite of commercial products from existing services. With significant financial challenges in the coming years, the development and sales of new streams of income through the commercialisation of services is a vital component of replacing  reduced funding from the government.  You will forge commercial partnerships across a range of sectors, meaning you will need to understand the language of business and build strong and credible relationships with commercially-focused organisations where the bottom line really matters.  Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Create a credible pipeline of sales aligned to our products, including developing an in-depth knowledge of market demands and anticipated needs for future product development.
  • Establish a clear, financially astute approach to managing the business and motivating all staff to achieve the commercial objectives.
  • Embed models of best practice in relation to commercial considerations and strong strategic relationship management 
  • The creation and growth of a strong profit and loss account with a realistic financial and product development plan.

This role will be an FTC for 18 months and salary will be be dependent on experience.
