Interim Director of Finance
Health Charity
Day rate £500 per day
We are pleased to be supporting a niche Health Charity based in London to resource an Interim Director of Finance, the role will be an immediate start, for a period of 3-6 months, whilst they go through a process of appointing permanently to this role. The successful candidate will have a solid track record of delivering at this level within the Not for Profit sector, and will include the following key responsibilities:
To maintain an overview of the Charity’s financial affairs ensuring effective financial management, planning and reporting including of key performance indicators KPIs to both the Senior Leadership Team and trustees to optimize achievement of the charity’s objectives.
To advise the Chief Executive and Board on their governance and financial duties and responsibilities.
To manage the Finance/Administration team ensuring all financial procedures and controls are in place and adhered to.
To ensure that the Charity is financially sound and managed within a clear medium/long term financial strategy.
To ensure the charity’s financial management and IT systems are as efficient and effective as possible and meet the changing needs of the organisation
To ensure proper compliance with the current Companies and Charities Acts , Trust law and Charity Commission regulations and to keep fully informed about legal and regulatory changes pertaining to the Charity
To take an active part in the Senior Leadership Team of the charity, especially working closely with the Head of Fundraising to maintain a unified approach to business development, KPIs and the optimization of the charity’s income.
To liaise closely with the Honorary Treasurer to discuss the Financial and Investment activities of the charity and to service quarterly meetings of the Finance Sub-committee.
