Head of Development Management

A London borough are seeking an Interim Head of Developmental Management to work in the Growth and Place team.  You will lead the Development Management Service to make a significant contribution to the regeneration of the borough through the innovative and practical application of development management skills to ensure that growth and regeneration in the borough is delivered in line with the agreed plans. Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for setting the strategic direction and tactical operation of the service.
  • Responsible for producing and delivering the service plan for your service and monitoring its delivery to align with both corporate and departmental aims and priorities.
  • Responsible for establishing, developing and keeping under review the structures, procedures and working methods for your service to ensure an integrated, effective and efficient approach to the delivery of services and to maximise the use of new technology to both improve services and generate efficiency savings.
  • Responsible for ensuring that staff in your service are recruited, managed, appraised and developed, and that effective arrangements are made for their training and development so as to meet service and continued professional development needs and to provide equality of opportunity for all employees.

This role will be inside IR35 c£600 and be for 6 months.  The closing date is Friday 12th April 2019 at 12pm.
