Director for Property
A leading London Borough are seeking an Interim Director for Property for 6 months. The post holder will give leadership and direction to the strategic management and development of the Council’s property portfolio for the short, medium and long term, so that it remains fit for purpose, performs well and increases its value (revenue and capital). You will also lead the Corporate Property Department to ensure delivery of the Council’s aims and objectives by setting a clear vision for the property department and developing a robust strategy to achieve those aims and objectives. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- To lead on the development of a co-ordinated and integrated Property Strategy and Capital Strategy and Corporate Asset Management Plan that will drive property performance in line with overarching council objectives (corporate and service) under the director of Executive Management Board and Property Board
- To lead on the development and implementation of a corporate asset management planning process within Property and the organisation as a whole and also crucially within Property’s supply chain of consultants and contractors.
- Provide strong leadership ensuring the supply chain in relation to FM, Major Projects and Accommodation and Space Planning to deliver Value for Money, quality of service and overall operate efficiently.
- Provide leadership for the Council ensuring delivery of an efficient, high quality architectural, design, building surveying, engineering, maintenance, valuation and FM services across the authority and to act as the champion in the authority.
This role will be an FTC £115,000 pro rata, the closing will be Wednesday the 10th of April 2019 at 2pm.
