An organisation in Manchester is seeking a Head of Planning and Development for a period for a period of 4-6 months an a competitive day rate. 

Job Summary:

In addition to overseeing the implementation of policies, projects and programmes, Heads of Planning and Development are expected to actively shape future strategy by identifying gaps or constraints in the current provision in line with customer and wider societal needs. 

Experience Required: 

  • Building control and development
  • Leadership skills
  • Elected member experience
  • Knowledge of the spatial framework is desirable but not essential
  • Overall a good practitioner and leader
  • RTPI Qualified
