Regeneration Project Director
The focus of the role is to develop and deliver “good growth” high profile housing led regeneration programmes and strategic partnerships, which improve the conditions on the Council’s own land and social housing estates. This will involve the whole process from feasibility, master planning through to delivery. The post-holder will also collaborate with other colleagues in the Place Directorate to contribute to proposals and scheme delivery when land and housing is to remain in the Council’s ownership and which will benefit existing social housing tenants and those on the housing needs register.Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Lead and co-ordinate the development of the Council’s local area regeneration strategies to be agreed, ensuring that the needs of tenants and leaseholders and land and assets in the HRA are fully considered.
- Develop a commissioning strategy for supply chain partners including where services such as technical can be delivered in-house by other teams in the Council and where the Third Sector may be appropriate to engage and work with hard to reach communities.
- Develop a core regeneration offer for residents, which is based on “good growth” principles demonstrably delivering benefits for existing residents over the life of regeneration schemes. Ensure this offer responds to residents priorities, concerns and lifetime housing needs so that where necessary it can secure successful ballots. This includes the development of community led activity. Ensure the wide promotion of the offer internally and externally.
The role is for 6 months inside IR35 and the day rate is dependent on experience. The closing date is Wednesday 30th January 2019 at 12pm.
