Assistant Direct Housing Capital and Asset Management c£750

We are looking for a Housing Capital and Asset senior specialist to lead, manage and coordinate the delivery of the housing capital programme and associated functions, including developing and implementing the housing asset management strategy, the housing asset management database system, and strategic advice and development of the procurement strategy for all contracts associated with investment and repair of the council's housing stock for a London borough. You will ensure the housing capital programme (approximately £100m p.a.) is delivered to the required timescales and budgets. Responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure progressive improvement in value for money, speed of delivery and efficiency of operation.
  • Work collaboratively with Council managers and councillors and with partners and providers, sharing information, resources and ideas to support the development of effective planning, strategy and delivery for the benefit of service users and the community
  • Take an organisation-wide view of the deployment of resources under your direction ensuring that they are targeted towards achieving the Council's key priorities and outcomes
  • Focus on demand management principles identifying ways to reduce demands on a service by early intervention, service innovation, the involvement of the community in delivery or better working with organisational partners.

The role will be inside IR35 for a minimum of 6 months and the day rate will be dependent on experience.
